South Asians are a family-minded people, and saving for the future successes and endeavours of their children is a massive part of every parent's finance plan. TD Bank asked the team at Barrett & Welsh to craft an online film using this insight.
I was copywriter on this project. It won Silver for online film at the 2021 Marketing Awards.
This TD campaign targeted to South Asian customers had the spin most of them love - cricket. To offer its unlimited transactions feature, Barrett & Welsh teamed up with director Rakesh Sidana to create two TV spots that hit that beloved spot. Actors Melissa and Sukhman lit up the screen. As part of the Barrett & Welsh team, I was copywriter on this project with creative director Gavin Barrett leading the way.
The challenging shoot organised during the locked-down month of March 2021 had us all coordinating between location, cast, crew, client, and creatives over a 14-hour zoom call that resulted in these wonderful videos.
